Margie Perez and Disaster Relief
New Orleans singer-songwriter Margie Perez, who grew up and performed on stage for many years in Washington, D.C., brings her New Orleans-infused pop back home--straight from the Crescent City, where she has lived since 2004. A WAMMIE nominee and Songwriter's Association of Washington song contest winner, she has recently performed with several bands in New Orleans at the legendary Tipitina's, the Blue Nile and Cafe Brasil. Margie has temporarily returned home to perform her melodic, danceable, catchy and often-funny pop songs from her debut CD "Part-time Goddess" with her new band, "Disaster Relief," featuring members of the band What's Left.
