At Blue Ox Millworks and Historic Park (1st and X Street in Eureka on the Bay)The Humboldt community is gathering to host a Party for the Pelicans/Brews for the Birds benefit to aid Humboldt Wildlife Care Center and Bird Ally X as they respond to the North Coast Pelican Crisis.Live music and performances by Comedians from Ba Dum Cha, The 51 Cards, Medicine Ball, Todd Krider, Bud Rogers, SambAmore, Josephine Johnson & Sam Whitlach, Karmaja Tribal Bellydance, Lance Torgerson, John David YoungTrio, Joe Shermis, Clara Bellino, The Mighty Redwood Ambassadors, The Survival Reggae Band, DJ Gabe Pressure, and additional entertainment. A suggested donation of $5 for adults and $1 for kids will enter community members into a special drawing for a wonderful prize (TBA).Party for the Pelicans/Brews for the Birds is generously being catered by Bless My Soul CafÃ, beer from Six Rivers Brewery, coffee from Humboldt Bay Coffee Company and other goodies donated by Cassarroâ™s Catering and other wonderful local businesses. National artists and community businesses have donated a variety of wonderful items for the raffle and silent auction. Blue Ox students and crafters will be demonstrating their skills and the student store will be open.
