Band Wagon- Regional Music Competition:
..San Francisco..’s indie rock and art scene will merge on Sunday July 11thin a show to benefit Musicians for Peace & The Equilibrium Institute of the ....Americas.... from 1 P.M. till 9 P.M. The event held at ..
133 Beale Street
.. is a pre-demolition celebration for the beloved venue, which is set to be destroyed to make way for a high-rise! After over 20 years, Beale Street Bar and Grill is moving to a new location on ..
Minna Street
.. in downtown ....San Francisco..... Rob, the producer behind RipStar’s Bands that Rock program, boosts, “Toni runs one of the last strong-holds for authentic music in the city that still has reasonable terms for working artists.” While the new venue ..
Beale Street
.. is moving into is being built out, Rob and his crew focus their scopes on filing for non-profit status with the I.R.S. Rob states, “being an official non-profit will help land more sponsors so that we can continue serving artists.”
The talent making it onto shows and on the Bands to watch list are of merit and Rob says, “Ripstar provides opportunities through radio spinning, live events, and networking for acts to get more attention from the public and in some cases from our industry allies. Slowly, but surely, people are catching on.”

Why?
The Flying Fish Organic Village is a newly opened eco-village style hostel that is run by an indigenous family on a remote island in Fiji. In January massive flooding - the worst in history - submerged and destroyed their organic family farm that provided food for their clan of over 200 people and supported their new eco-business. Tourism has stopped and they have received no help from the government, relief agencies, or media.
We are raising money to help the family replant their organic farm and become self-sustaining once again. Come join us!
$10-$20 suggested donation, all donations accepted! Larger donations receive credits at the Flying Fish Organic Village!
$40/one night, $75/2 nights, $100/3 nights, $50/night thereafter

Rooster's in Alameda
Benefit for David Krull -
4 pm
1700 Clement at Grand
Alameda CA 94501
USA 510 337 9190
Price: $20.00
On Sunday, March 11th, the Alameda music community will once again gather to aid one of their own in need. Well-known Blues and Boogie piano player David Krull is battling a genetic blood disease that attacks the liver and kidneys. Rooster’s Roadhouse (1700 Clement Street at Grand, Alameda, 510.337.9190) will host a benefit concert with all proceeds going to Krull. Needless to say, medical bills are adding up.
The doors will open at 3:00 pm; scheduled acts include David and his band, Daniel Castro, The Alameda All Stars and Strawberry Jam. There will be guest appearances by Pat Potter and Clara Bellino, with other artists yet to be finalized. Rumors are that Barrelhouse Chuck and Big Gay Fish will be on hand. The cover charge is $20. CDs and merchandise will be available.
David’s career began in Kansas City and St. Louis before touring the world with Jimmy Rogers. He has played with many of the greats in the blues world, including Johnnie Johnson, Henry Townsend, Hubert Sumlin, Bonnie Raitt and Elvin Bishop. He moved to Alameda ten years ago and has played with a number of local acts. Last year, he released his first solo CD, Can’t Let Go.
David Krull has always been willing to donate his talents to benefit shows for local causes and individuals. Now, it is Alameda’s chance to return the favor. Please come out in support of David; the fantastic music will be an added bonus! Please pass this on to your friends!
Bobby Sharp, who wrote "Unchain My Heart" sang a song off his album "Fantasy Sessions", then we sang one of his songs as a duet, a song he gave me to release, appropriately called "Hand in Hand". Turnout for David was great.

What's Left
A hip new improvisational jazz, blues and reggae trio featuring Fritz Myer on guitar and flute, don Fede on bass and L.T. King on drums and vocals. In addition to noteworthy interpretations of Miles Davis and Horace Silver, the band performs originals by L.T. King whose vocals evoke the haunting qualities of Jimi Hendrix and the sardonic wit of Lou Reed. See photos at http://fritzmyer.com/2005_whats_left_pix/
Margie Perez and Disaster Relief
New Orleans singer-songwriter Margie Perez, who grew up and performed
on stage for many years in Washington, D.C., brings her New
Orleans-infused pop back home--straight from the Crescent City, where
she has lived since 2004. A WAMMIE nominee and Songwriter's
Association of Washington song contest winner, she has recently
performed with several bands in New Orleans at the legendary
Tipitina's, the Blue Nile and Cafe Brasil. Margie has temporarily
returned home to perform her melodic, danceable, catchy and
often-funny pop songs from her debut CD "Part-time Goddess" with her
new band, "Disaster Relief," featuring members of the band What's
Left.
The Vitale Signs
The Vitale Signs specialize in classic/original blues and hard-driving
rock n' roll. Keeping the pulse alive are husband and wife team Tom
and Gaysu Vitale on guitar and bass, drummer/percussionist and vocalist,
L.T. King "beating, shaking and scraping," and Andrew Baxley adding
drive and attitude on guitar, vocals and harmonica. See photos at http://www.fritzmyer.com/vital_signs_7-23-2005/
